New Data Visualization Tools and More! October 25, 2011

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) has just announced the results of its software development challenge, “Show Off Your Apps:  Innovative Uses of NLM Information.”  10 new apps or mobile-friendly web resources are featured, providing new ways to search NLM resources.  Included are 2 new visualization tools.

KNALIJ lets you map complex relationships in real time, including authorship networks or collaboration graphs; visualize & identify meaningful correlations & connections, and explore information sets in new ways.  Watch a video here.

BioDigital Human Platform, a runner up in the contest, simplifies the understanding of health topics by visualizing anatomy, conditions and treatments,providing new ways to augment healthcare applications. Watch a video here.
